Blue Skies Foundation
The Blue Skies Foundation is a
partnership between Blue Skies and two of its customers, Albert Heijn
and Waitrose. The Foundation is a way for these companies to support
the communities in which they trade. Officially launched in 2009, the
Foundation has invested over £200,000 in development projects for
communities involved in the supply of fresh-cut fruit.

Pens For Kids UK gave some pens, rulers and notepads to Blue Skies, who
transported them to schools in Ghana and South Africa that are linked
to the foundation.
Some of the photos of the items being distributed are shown to the
right. The photos were sent to us by Simon Derrick of Blue Skies
Foundation - many thanks!
The presentations were met with lots of excitements from both students
and teachers. The headmasters of the various schools thanked the
Foundation and its partners for this simple but significant gesture
that will go a long way to help in the academic work of the schools. In
all, six schools benefited including Juapong JHS, Abortia Primary
School and Fotobi JHS.
